Originally from the small, rural town of Willimantic, Connecticut, Jillian Bennett’s show-business career began at the University of Connecticut where she acquired her degree in communication sciences with a minor in theater arts.  A student of both Strasberg acting technique and the art of improvisation, Jillian is an extremely well rounded performer.  Later, while living in New York City, her radio-broadcasting career began to take shape.  Having worked behind the scenes on the Don Imus show in New York, and then on air as a co-host of the Q106 and Z90 morning shows in San Diego, California, she was steadily making her move toward Hollywood.  For five years Bennett taught radio broadcasting at the college level, and then was a co-host on the Z100 Morning Zoo in Portland, Oregon.

Jillian began to pursue a stand-up comedy career once she moved to Los Angeles.  As a comedienne and an actress she has made several television appearances including Lifetime’s Girls Night Out, Comedy Central’s Stand-Up, Stand-Up, and USA Network’s Renegade.  Bennett has guest starred on the syndicated series Crime Strike and on the drama pilot Strike Force.  Most recently, Jillian was the featured subject in a documentary entitled You The Owner’s Manual for Discovery Health Channel wherein she went through a life changing 10 weeks under the guidance of renowned health gurus Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen.  This experience led to memorable appearances on other programs including the Oprah Winfrey Show.  She has also enjoyed return engagements at many comedy clubs and colleges across the nation.  Critics have recognized Jillian for her original brand of humor, as well as for the fact that “…she manages to remain insightful while tickling the crowds funny bone.”  She can regularly be seen at theatrical venues performing her autobiographical one-woman show entitled I Hate the Elderly.

When Jillian is not performing, she pursues her burgeoning writing career by penning comedic screenplays and factual entertainment projects.  Her credits include T-Rex: A Dinosaur in Hollywood for Animal Planet, DIY’s Help on the Homefront and the Interactive Achievement Awards for video game net G4.  Bennett is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and is an alumnus of the Gamma Zeta chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta.  She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband and son.
